Description

Agriculture Victoria invites farming families to a free workshop to discuss options for managing livestock through Drought conditions.

Key Topics:

Agriculture Victoria staff and local veterinarian Peter Honey will discuss the following key livestock management options

  • Stock Containment Areas – siting, construction and design

  • Early Weaning of Livestock – key factors to consider

  • Managing herd/flock health over summer

Agriculture Victoria staff and a Rural Financial Counsellor will also discuss drought support services available for producers.

A light lunch will be served.

The session will conclude with a visit to Kate and Bruce Commins Property, 8123 Great Alpine Road Swifts Creek.
