Event description

Description

The aim of a mentally healthy workplace is to ensure work makes a positive contribution to a worker's mental health and wellbeing. This requires workplaces to identify and manage the risk of work-related stressors which could impact both the psychological and physical health of staff. It's not only a requirement under WHS legislation, but it's the right thing to do.

This 2 hour workshop, hosted by ReturnToWorkSA and SafeWork SA, will guide participants through the risk management process in relation to how to manage psychological hazards in the workplace. Risk factors for work-related stress, such as high work demands, lack of role clarity, poor workplace relationships, and poorly managed change. A practical case study will also be presented to show how theory can be put into practice.

This workshop is suitable for WHS managers, Return to Work Coordinators, and other managers who would like to learn more about how to address psychological hazards and risks in the workplace as part of a mentally healthy wokpalce and WHS program.
