Peopleistic invites all current, or aspiring managers and leaders to attend an intensive, industry-focused short course on Managing Personal Work Priorities.

Overview

Developing and maintaining a highly productive workplace requires thought, planning and creative energy. Leaders who set a positive role model, establish personal work goals and measure and maintain personal performance are key in transformational organisations. People who take initiative, use technology efficiently and maintain an appropriate work-life balance help move the organisation into Flow. Leadership involves not only ensuring a harmonious and empowering workplace but also providing an environment for others to show their potential. This half-day course presents the essential skills and knowledge to building and managing Personal Work Priorities.

This course is designed for:

  • Managers and individuals who lead other people and have responsibility for achieving organisational goals.
  • Executives and Managers who have responsibility for effective workplace relations based on established work priorities.
  • Those looking to increase their knowledge about transformational leadesrhip and the development of staff.

  • Set and meet own work priorities
  • Develop and maintain professional competence

The content of this course is aligned to the Australian National competency unit BSBWOR501 Manage Personal Work Priorities and Professional Development and forms part of the BSB51915 Diploma of Leadership and Management and other diploma courses. No assessment is included, however those wishing to complete the assessment for these Units of Competency may do so for an additional fee. Participants successfully completing the assessment will gain RPL (recognised prior learning) towards any subsequent enrolment in the Diploma of Leadership and Management with the Business Education Institute - a RTO that is part of the Peopleistic Group.

Your Facilitators:

Dr Helen Armstrong. Helen is a practicing professional in the field of risk management who has, like all BEI facilitators, extensive experience in both industry and academia. Helen is an international author whose experience embraces the areas of risk and governance, leadership and management, organisation behaviour, strategic planning and project management. Helen has worked with a variety of organisations including IBM (Sydney), Western Australian Police (Perth), West Point Military Academy (New York) and Curtin University of Technology (Perth).

Dr Ian Rouse. Ian has significant leadership and management experience in industry, government and private practice and has held numerous senior management roles in Government and Universities in Australia and overseas. He has significant practical experience in leadership and management, organisation behaviour, strategic and operational planning and project management.

Teaching methods: Presentations, case studies and practical hands-on sessions.
