ABOUT THE PROGRAM

The Managing Mental Health in the Workplace Program is designed to develop participants knowledge, provide management frameworks and approaches to enable effective support, and to hold effective conversations with employees experiencing a mental illness or wellbeing issue in the workplace.

Topic 1 - Reducing Stigma: Testing assumptions and building awareness.

Topic 2 - Determinants of Mental Illness: The face behind the mask, and influences of psychological ill-health.

Topic 3 - Psychologically Healthy Workplaces: A best practice framework which builds psychological wellbeing at the organisational, team, and individual level.

Topic 4 - Providing Support & Offering Solutions: The role of manager, and human resources, in assisting and supporting an employee with mental illness.

Topic 5 - Negotiating Reasonable Adjustments: The conversation cycle, and navigating the relevant legislation to protect and de-risk the business.
