Your club has a responsibility to provide a safe, supportive and welcoming environment.
Sports Focus understand the challenges for club administrators in dealing with club members, particularly in regards to responding to poor behaviour that results in complaints, disputes and other grievances.
The Managing Member Behaviour workshop will look to assist clubs to:
- Better understand and identify poor behaviour – in particular bullying, harassment and discrimination
- Set in place preventative measures to reduce the likelihood of issues arising, specifically Codes of Conduct and disciplinary sanctions
- Explore the Complaint Handling Process and how to resolve disputes
- Complaints, breaching codes of conduct, member disputes, grievances – which process to follow and when
- Understanding Grievance Procedures and Disciplinary Procedures
- The role of Member Protection Policies and Member Protection Information Officers
We recommend that, if possible, at least three (3) people from one club attend.
