About this Event

This training will be delivered online over 2 days using our interactive learning platform. All course participants will be emailed training materials prior to the sessions. In advance of the training, we will send you the course link to access the training.

Changes within construction projects are inevitable, but should be kept to a minimum and, when they do occur, they should be controlled rigorously. Managing cost and time in a proactive means is critical to project success. In this workshop, participants will explore best practice in identifying, valuing and managing variations. Completion of this workshop contributes to attaining the Contract Administration and Quantification and Costing of Construction competences as part of the RICS Quantity Surveying Assessment of Professional Competence.

Trainer:

Philip Adams is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor with over 40 years’ experience. Philip has expert knowledge of all aspects of projects costs, contracts and change management internationally across a wide range of sectors including construction, oil and gas, roads, airports, high speed rail, light rail and telecommunications. Philip is a Fellow of the RICS and Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, Member and Certified QS of the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors, and member of the RICS DRS Expert Determination and Expert Witness Panels. Philip has experience valuing variations on several forms of contract including NEC, FIDIC and AS. Philip and his team recently successfully resolved a multimillion-dollar dispute associated with a mega LNG project which encompassed the cold eye review, determination, risk assessment, negotiation and resolution of multiple variations. Whilst in Dubai Philip was a regular columnist with articles published in Construction Week Middle East.

Can I update my registration information?
