Lorraine Murphy - Founder of The Remarkables

Lorraine Murphy is originally from Dublin, Ireland and spent the first eight years of her career in PR and communications strategy. When Lorraine made the move to Sydney in 2009, she recognised a need for a coordinator of blogger and brand relationships in the Australian market and brought her background in PR, digital and communications strategy to assist brands in reaching their target audience by partnering with some of Australia’s most influential bloggers.

Lorraine launched The Remarkables Group in February 2012, from her spare bedroom. The business was the first dedicated influencer talent agency in Australia and went on to secure over $1m in revengue in its first 12 months, with clients including Woolworths, L'Oreal, Schwarzkopf, Origin, Bupa, Qantas, Bonds and Priceline.

Lorraine was named one of BRW's Five Young Entrepreneurs to Watch and one of Dynamic Business's Young Guns. She has featured frequently in media, including The Project, Sunrise, Sydney Morning Herald, Collective Hub, Marie Claire, Sky News, ABC News and The Australian.

Lorraine is a thought leader in entrepreneurship, having spoken to over 3,000 up and coming entrepreneurs on three speaking tours with entrepreneur organisation The Entourage as well as being an avid trend-watcher and participant in social media, lecturing on the strategic use of social media at both the University of NSW and Sydney University.

Jo Dunlop, creator of Freetown Fashpack

Australian aid worker Jo Dunlop started fashion blog turned documentary series Freetown Fashpack, after being inspired by Sierra Leone's incredible street style.

Jo Dunlop is a humanitarian worker, blogger and health communications specialist. She lived in Sierra Leone for four years where she worked on maternal health projects and the emergency Ebola response.

In her spare time she wrote a fashion blog about the flamboyant street style of Freetown. In 2016 the ABC commissioned her to produce and host a short form documentary series - Fashpack: Freetown screened on IView that brings her blog to life and tells the story of the inspiring and brave fashionistas of this unlikely fashion hotspot.

Jo is truly an inspiration, watch her promo clip here!

Having access to this type of information from such experts is incredible, come along to meet them up close and personal with our 'Blogging Experts' panel.

Our Evening Venue: The Lord Dudley Hotel is an English pub with a modern Australian restaurant in Sydney’s beautiful and historic Paddington area. Located in a residential area parking is also better! It is just a 10-minute drive east from the city or a 10-minute walk from Oxford Street or Edgecliff train station.

The Lord Dudley Hotel restaurant serves lunch and dinner seven days with a seasonal menu which changes daily. Their kitchen has a seasonal menu that sources quality produce, putting a twist on homey English style fare with a bit of a modern twist.

At Mama Creatives we have organised an amazing year of evening talks, morning tea masterclass, expert panels, creative family school holiday workshops and more - we can't wait to see you!
