Youth Workers Association (YWA) and Youth Affairs Council Victoria (YACVic) present:

Making the case for youth work

Join us for this professional development seminar, presented by Howard Williamson, Professor of European Youth Policy at the University of South Wales and visiting professor at the Academy of Youth Research, China Youth University of Political Sciences in Beijing.

Howard is a qualified youth and community worker, practice teacher and youth research academic, who has advised governments across Europe on their youth policies. He is a well-published author who is actively involved in the editorial direction of a number of youth-focused journals, as well as writing a regular column for the UK’s Children and Young People Now publication.

In this interactive seminar, you will learn:

What works in persuading governments to invest in young people and youth work

Strategies for youth policy creation and advocacy

Success stories and emerging practice in European youth work

Morning tea provided.
