Description

Join us at the Miso Making Workshop. Miso is a traditional Japanese seasoning produced by fermenting soybeans with salt and koji, or rice or barley. It produces a thick paste used for pickling vegetables, making sauces, mixing to soup stock and making spreads. It is high in protein, rich in vitamins and minerals.

Experience and hear about Miso and Shio Koji. Miso tastes best when you start fermenting it slowly in cold weather and then finishing it off with a bang in the summer heat. At the workshop, you will be making approximately 1.5kg of your own Miso to take home.

The workshop will also include information on how to ferment Koji Rice which goes together with Miso.

What to bring: a sterilised glass or plastic jar to hold 1.5 kg
