JCI Australia brings you the Make It Happen (MIH) Weekend.


JCI Australia is excited to introduce our new leadership training program - Make It Happen (MIH) Weekend. The MIH Weekend is open to both current and prospective members and will be a weekend that is jammed packed with training, strategy and inspiration all underpinned by fun.

As a current JCI member, you will expand and refresh your knowledge and as a potential member, you will experience a showcase of what JCI membership could give you now and into the future.


Program Highlights:

  • JCI Australia AGM
    Learn more about JCI Australia operations, gain experience on corporate governance and running meetings.

  • Where your JCI career could take you
    Get a global perspective of a JCI Career with International Vice President Ramkumar Menon from JCI India.

  • JCI Achieve
    This official JCI course uses discussions and analogies to help members understand one’s own values and the values and principles of JCI. It explores the role of all members in establishing the Local Organisation’s identity, the activities needed to fulfil the JCI Mission and develops JCI members into active citizens who will create positive change in their communities.

  • Hear from Alfred Chidembo, Co-founder of Aussie Books for Zim
    Aussie Books for Zim is an Australian-based social enterprise that seeks to promote education and improve literacy in the remote rural communities of Zimbabwe. JCI Australia will support Aussie Books for Zim this year through its national projects program. You will learn how you and your Local Organisation can be involved in this worthy cause.

  • JCI Lets do it! World Clean Up Day – 15 September 2018
    Hear from JCI Australia’s Project Officer Olive Batten and find out more about this global project and how you and your Local Organisation can get involved.

  • Saturday Dinner at White Mojo, Glen Waverley (additional cost by attendees)
    Social dinner, enjoy yummy food and great conversation.

  • Strategic Planning 101 with David Watters
    Get the best for you and your Local Organisation. Learn skills, tips and tricks of getting the best out of your 12 months to lead for you and your members.

  • Omoiyari with Suzi Chen
    Omoiyari is the Japanese principle of cherishing differences between oneself and others. It is a way of thinking through mutual understanding by examining other’s perspectives, an essential skill to lead a successful and meaningful life. Join this JCI Recommended Course and learn about how to practise Omoiyari in your daily life.
