Event description

Description

It is well documented that our sense of touch can stimulate memory. Participants will explore different ways of creating and using themed memory boxes full of objects from the past for reminiscence and particularly for dementia care.

This free, hands-on workshop is particularly suited to those involved in museums or with local history groups, looking for new and meaningful ways of engaging with their community.

Participants will be asked to bring some suitable items for discussion or for inclusion in a memory box.

2:30pm - 4:00pm, Board Room, History Trust of South Australia, Torrens Parade Ground, Victoria Drive, Adelaide, SA 5000.

Parking will be available on the Torrens Parade Ground.

We hope to see you there!
