Event Details

Full of confidence and want to make a positive start to your project?

Want to be aware of the fundamental building blocks of research early on in your journey?

Keen to avoid an unproductive first year?

Or do you simply want a more systematic approach to help you take ownership of your PhD and plan ahead for a successful introductory seminar?

In this workshop you’ll be introduced to the PhD Design Canvas to enable you to plan a successful first few months of your research journey. You will:

  • Identify your own PhD starting point
  • Assess your awareness of and / or feelings about fundamental academic building blocks
  • Learn about different models of research
  • Draft a personalised roadmap to plan and prepare for your introductory seminar.

Presenter: Dr Ben Ellway, Academic Toolkit
