Are you a musician, business owner, blogger or artist wanting to create your own promotional poster or marketing content? This workshop introduces how to effectively use Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator by developing and creating an event poster. Skills developed in this workshop are transferable to design applications beyond the poster medium, and give greater context to how the Adobe Suite can be useful to your needs.

Topics covered:

  • Elements essential to effective poster design

  • Working with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator

  • Balancing imagery and typography

  • Exporting files

No prior experience with the Adobe Suite is needed. Experience using Mac operating system highly preferred, but not essential. Please bring a USB to save your work if desired.

This session is highly recommended as a primer for attending MakerHangout: Digital design tools.
