MakerBasics: Character animation and design

Using the magic of Adobe Illustrator and After Effects in unison, participants in this two part workshop will bring a digital puppet to life right before their eyes.
In week one, learn how to design an animation ready puppet from scratch in Adobe Illustrator, a program used by artists and designers to create infinitely scalable graphics.
In week two, we will proceed to animate the puppet through simple, but captivatingly effective techniques in Adobe After Effects, a motion graphics and special effects program utilized by filmmakers from here to Hollywood.
Please note: No experience necessary. Week one is not a prerequisite for week two, but is highly encouraged.
