Event description

Description

Before you can 3D print, you will need to learn the basics of how to design and setup your project.
We will show you basic CAD design skills and explain the process for getting your 3D print ready to go. You will learn how to build basic objects using Tinkercad and get a better understanding of how to conceptualise your projects. You can share your designs with an online community (Thingiverse) and be ready to print them out in the 3D printing hang out session.
This workshop is suitable for those who have already completed the Introduction to 3D Printing. It is designed for the complete novice and will discuss concepts of basic design.

What to bring: you will need a Tinkercad account. You can create this in advance by visiting www.tinkercad.com.
