Event description

Description

Adobe After Effects is the industry standard for creating motion graphics and special effects. A great entry point into learning the program is through character animation, examples of which can be found in most infographic/explainer videos, countless TV commercials, music videos and iOS stickers.

In this workshop, we will rig up the limbs of a cartoon character created in Adobe Illustrator, and bring it to life just like a digital puppet. This session will expand on an array of After Effects fundamentals, including setting up a document, importing elements from another program, character rigging, keyframing, animation principles, and more.
Experience using Mac operating system highly preferred, however not essential.

Participation in MakerBasics: Kinetic Typography in After Effects is highly preferred, however not essential.

Participation in Character Design in Adobe Illustrator class is encouraged, but not essential.
Please bring a USB to save your work if desired..
