Before you can 3D print, you will need to learn the basics of how to design and setup your project. This workshop is the first in our series on 3D printing.
In this workshop we will show you basic CAD design skills and explain the process for getting your 3D print ready to go. You will learn how to build basic objects using Tinkercad and get a better understanding of how to conceptualize your projects.
What to bring: Your own laptop with a USB port or SD card reader, install the program Makerbot Desktop software (http://www.makerbot.com/apps) and sign up to a Tinkercad Account (https://tinkercad.com). If you require help with this, please come early to the workshop.
**Please note to register for this class you first need to attend the “MakerBasics: 3D printing Seminar - @ The Dock” class. If you already have basic knowledge on 3d printing and haven’t attended the prerequisite class, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
