Event description

Description

A 1-Hour School Holiday Activity making a working push-button to run a "Classic" video game you can re-program. This is an introductory course to get a taste of learning about electronics and coding iconic games such as Space Invaders and Asteroids. Groups are kept small, maximum of 6 so booking is essential!

All Ages 8+ years Introduction to Physical Computing with Video Game Electronics!

Learn by doing a fun hands-on activity making a working push-button switch to decorate and take home. Interface the push-button to a Raspberry Pi computer’s input/output wiring to drive a video game character. Instead of children being limited to playing yet another video game, they can also make the game controller, colour & re-animate the game characters, and change the program through simple Scratch block coding.
Limited space, booking is essential. Cost $35

PLUS, Entry to Museum

When: Several 1-hour sessions available during School Holidays, 26-28 April 2018.
Where: The Nostalgia Box, Shop 3, 16 Aberdeen Street, Perth (Blue Cat Stop 7 Central TAFE on Aberdeen St.)
