Maintain Accreditation as a Casual Teacher

The NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) will be a hosting a 1 hour 30 minutes session for Casual and Short-Term Temporary Teachers who are maintaining accreditation at Proficient Teacher.

The online session will focus on developing a stronger understanding of the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers and providing advice on how casual teachers can maintain accreditation.

The sessions will cover :

• Engaging with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers
• Building on your teaching practice at Proficient Teacher
• Setting professional and personal learning goals
• Monitoring time frames
• Engaging in life long learning
• Critically reflecting on teaching practice

Completing Maintain Accreditation at Proficient Teacher for Casual Teachers will contribute 1 hour 30 minutes of NESA Registered PD addressing standard descriptors 6.1.2 and 7.4.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher accreditation in NSW.
