After the success of MAD's first Massive Passive event, featuring Che Wall and Fergal White, which gave the 20+ audience much food for thought, MAD are pleased to announce a second Passive Design Event-

"Massive Passive II"

This presentation will focus on Thermal Mass, beginning with state-of-the-art insights from Cathy Ingliss, a highly regarded authority on the thermal performance of masonry, and currently the Materials Research Manager at Brickworks.

This will be followed by some short informal thermal mass case studies offered by Nigel Howard and architect Tim West.

There will be opportunity to clarify the approach, philosophy and design choices of each presenter.

MAD's Sustainability Series audaciously asserts that by challenging the assumptions and inefficiencies in prevailing design culture, ideas for a fresh environmental design philosophy may emerge.
