Make your own Macrame wall hanging with 100% recycled yarn and hand collected driftwood.
This workshop will take you through the basics of weaving your own macrame wall hanging, teaching you various knots, measurements and advice, shared amongst other like-minded 'crafters'. It will be run by the established artist Melissa Carey, and held in her art studio, which is a haven of creatives/makers/designers all under one warehouse roof, located in Alexandria, Sydney. This workshop is for beginners, no experience needed, for ages 13 and above (with adult supervision for under 16 years).
What you get: one handmade macrame wall hanging per person, new crafty skills, a scrumptious homemade delight with herbal tea, chats and smiles. All materials and equipment will be provided including driftwood, and extra material will be available for purchase. Colours of materials will be the choice of the artist and will vary at each workshop - giving you a unique macrame every time!
So come and be inspired, unleash your creativity, get back to your roots, learn new skills, get your fingers moving, and be immersed in the present moment. After all, that's what craft should be all about! Lock in your next craft session and take time out for yourself, or bring a friend for a unique night out!
