Lunchtime Speaker Series: Social Implications of Climate Change

- This is part of RMIT's 2017 Sustainability Week; a week long celebration for students and staff showcasing sustainability learning and teaching, research, operations and student initiatives on campus. -
Throughout Sustainability Week a lunchtime speaker series will run, each day focussing on a different topic. This provides the opportunity for the broader RMIT community to hear more about sustainability research as well as a few special guests. Two of RMIT's Sustainability Ambassadors will be MC-ing the session.
Blanche is completing a PhD in climate change education at Monash University and has worked as a sustainability educator at RMIT for 6 years. She has also volunteered in various roles with the Australian Youth Climate Coalition and Climate for Change.
Dr Anthony Richardson
Anthony recently completed thesis covering aspects of futurist collapse studies. His research draws upon interests in the intersections between energy, socio-technological complexity and urban resilience; he is also a course coordinator within Masters of Public Policy.
Dr Jane Mullett
Jane is currently working on cities engagement with the UN Global Compact - Cities Program Secretariat at RMIT University and also as the research coordinator for the Centre for People, Organisation and Work (CPOW) within RMIT's College of Business. She worked full-time for eight years in the recently disbanded Climate Change Adaptation Program (CCAP) within the Global Cities Research Institute at RMIT University, concentrating on the adaptation of critical infrastructure to a changing climate.
