LOCATION: NAS Innovation Design Space (IDS) 12.04

- This is part of RMIT's 2017 Sustainability Week; a week long celebration for students and staff showcasing sustainability learning and teaching, research, operations and student initiatives on campus. -

Throughout Sustainability Week a lunchtime speaker series will run, each day focussing on a different topic. This provides the opportunity for the broader RMIT community to hear more about sustainability research as well as a few special guests. RMIT's Students union Sustainability Representitive Adam Flemming will be MC-ing the session.

Sam Millar - Guest Speaker from City of Melbourne and RMIT Alumni

Michael Snow

Michael Snow is a sustainability professional currently working as the Senior Program Manager for RMIT’s Sustainable Urban Precincts Program. Michael has extensive experience in both the private industry as well as higher education, he takes pride in finding energy saving opportunities for others, identifying inefficiencies, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and implementing energy solutions from renewable sources.

Michael Lord - Guest Speaker from Beyond Zero Emissions

Michael Lord is BZE's Head of Research. He is leading research into a zero carbon industry plan for Australia.Michael joined BZE from an environmental consultancy, where he advised local governments and the private sector on reducing emissions and managing climate risk. Before that Michael was the infrastructure lead on the UK Government's Climate Ready program, working with energy and transport operators to improve their climate resilience. Michael has also worked in the Climate Change team at the Victorian Government.
