Lunchtime Lit 'Moby Dick by Herman Melville'
Event Information
About this event
Each month, join James McCluskey-Garcia from Reading Companions Australia over lunch for a storytime session just for adults!
This February we are introduced to the 1851 novel Moby Dick; the sailor Ishmael's narrative of the obsessive quest of Ahab, captain of the whaling ship Pequod, for revenge on Moby Dick, the giant white sperm whale that on the ship's previous voyage bit off Ahab's leg at the knee.
James will read an excerpt from the book and discuss plot, character, themes, history of the author and book before Q&A/discussion with our audience.
