Look Who's Talking: Where Law Meets Innovation

Tank Stream Labs is an inner-city co-working space for start-ups and entrepreneurs. This Look Who's Talking panel will showcase how cutting edge research coming out of UNSW Law has been harnessed in the real world by the business, industry, government and community secotrs.
A panel discussion moderated by Professor George Williams AO, Dean, UNSW Law will hear from:
Professor Ross Buckley, Scientia Professor and CIFR King & Wood Mallesons Chair in International Finance Law on his research which is addressing problems raised by the delivery of financial services across the world.
Dr Alana Maurushat on the research being undertaken by the multi-million dollar Data to Decisions Co-operative Research Centre (www.d2dcrc.com.au). The Centre is researching, among other projects, the use of big data in national security and law enforcement contexts.
Professor Andrea Durbach, Director of the Australian Human Rights Centre on the national project to strengthen and develop effective and appropriate institutional responses to sexual assault and harassment at Australian universities.
Professor Bronwen Morgan on her research which has been used to design a legal and policy framework to encourage innovative social entrepreneurs.
