LOCAL HISTORICAL GRANTS INFORMATION SESSION

Details:

Are you a Brisbane professional historian / researcher or a cultural heritage and historical organisation located in Brisbane? You may be able to apply for funding with either the Lord Mayor’s Helen Taylor Research Award for Local History or the Historical Organisation Assistance Grant Program!

1. The Lord Mayor’s Helen Taylor Research Award for Local History supports history students and independent researchers undertaking history or heritage projects which have a focus on informing or educating the public about local history or heritage, one award is available up to $20,000.

2. The Historical Organisation Assistance Grant Program provides funding over three years to help cultural heritage and historical organisations to operate and maintain their facilities. Organisations may apply for between $2000 and $10,000 per annum for three years.

To help you prepare your grant application, Council is hosting a grant information session.

Interested? Join this upcoming information session to get some tips on how to stand out from the crowd, budget pitfalls and writing that winning application.

Be prepared to apply for one of our Brisbane Historical Grants Program, opening at 9am on Monday 17 January 2022 and closing at 3pm, Monday 28 February 2022.

Participants must register via Eventbrite and read our COVID Safe guidelines before attending. If you are unwell, please cancel your booking.

During this session, you will:

  • Get a detailed overview of the two Grants program
  • Find out about the programme’s eligibility criteria
  • Receive tips on completing your application
  • Have the opportunity to ask questions
