Description

The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP), Australia’s peak body for general practice, seeks to support the profession by ensuring that opportunities exist for general practitioners (GPs) to connect and engage at a local level.

The Hunter-based Local GP Advocacy Network (LGPAN) met in March and June this year and we are excited to announce that the next instalment will take place on Tuesday 12 September.

Attendees will have an opportunity to discuss with their peers the issues, services and resources relevant to general practice and communicate this information directly to the RACGP and to the Hunter New England and Central Coast Primary Health Network (HNECC).

At this meeting, the network will be discussing the role of pharmacy in primary health care, as well as the role general practice plays in the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). The RACGP, HNECC and Hunter GP Association (HGPA) will also provide updates on current issues.

The LGPAN aims to facilitate engagement between GPs in a local area, providing an opportunity for professional growth and a united GP voice in the region.

Registration is free and all GPs in the Hunter region are welcome – you do not need to be an RACGP member to come along. We welcome you to share this registration page with your peers.

Light refreshments will be provided from 6.30 pm

We look forward to seeing you there!
