Living With Younger Onset Dementia Program - North Ryde - NSW
Overview
This program provides education and support for people recently diagnosed with younger onset dementia. It includes information about the impact of younger onset dementia, coping with change, relationships and communication, planning for the future, strategies and support services. The program is delivered in a small group over multiple sessions.
Suitable for: People in the early to mid stages of younger onset dementia, their family carers and family members (carers cannot attend alone). Not suitable for paid carers or health professionals, people without a diagnosis or people living with dementia who do not acknowledge their diagnosis.
If you register, you'll be contacted by Dementia Australia to ensure that the program meets your needs and that you're eligible. You will need to attend multiple sessions or a block of time, and should be willing to participate in a workshop and therapeutic environment.
This program runs over 4 sessions every Wednesday. To complete this program, you must attend all the 4 sessions:
- Wednesday, 04 March 2026, from 10:00am to 03:00pm
- Wednesday,11 March 2026, from 10:00am to 03:00pm
- Wednesday, 18 March 2026, from 10:00am to 03:00pm
- Wednesday, 25 March 2026, from 10:00am to 03:00pm
Dementia Australia's facilitators have specialist dementia knowledge, skills and experience. This program is delivered interactively, you will be encouraged to share your experiences alongside other participants giving you an opportunity to develop new support networks.
The program is for the person living with Dementia along with a family carer or family member, however, people with dementia can attend alone if they wish. Once you are registered, our facilitators will contact you to discuss whether the program will be suitable for you and only 2 people per family can register, the person living with dementia and his/her family carer.
Light refreshment will be provided, this will be confirmed once you've been confirmed for eligibility to participate this program.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
It is ideal if you can bring your ticket. However, if you have completed your registration we will have your details and forgetting your ticket won’t be a problem.
