Event description
Join LACW, Flat Out and Fitzroy Legal Service to hear what needs to happen for women who have been in prison to find safety in the community

About this event

Join staff from Law and Advocacy Centre for Women (LACW) , Flat Out and Fitzroy Legal Service for an interactive panel discussion about why women go to prison, what this means for their lives, families and children and what is necessary for women to find safety and stability in the community. Panelists will draw on insights from women who have been in prison, extensive practice experience and key findings from the Centre for Innovative Justice’s recent evaluation of the Women Transforming Justice project, which piloted a women-specific and integrated bail support service for women on remand.
