Do you have a chronic health condition? A chronic condition is defined as any medical condition lasting six months or longer, for example, asthma, arthritis, cancer, obesity, diabetes, chronic pain, and mental health conditions including depression and anxiety.
This evidence based course is being conducted by ACT Health. It covers topics such as symptom management (including pain, fatigue, and depression), dealing with difficult emotions, communicating with health providers, physical activity, healthy eating, action planning, problem-solving and decision making.
The course will be held on Thursdays for 6 consecutive weeks, from 12pm-2.15 pm, commencing September 8, and concluding October 13. It will be held at Access & Inclusion, with the first two workshops occuring during mid-semester non-teaching period.
Students must be sure they can commit to attend weekly. Places are limited. Carers are also welcome to attend.
