A conversation on how we, as lived experience leaders, strengthen the voice and influence of lived experience in South Australia.


We may explore:

- how we support lived experience voice and lived experience leadership in our State

- how we infleunce policy with our lived experience perspectives

- who our allies are and how do we best utilise them

- the challenges and barriers to lived experience voice and how they may be overcome

- how we might join together to further this cause


Ellie will also share learnings from her participation in the Governor's Leadership Foundation Program that could impact the ideas we generate and actions we take together.

Organiser Ellie Hodges :: Counsellor & Lived Experience Practitioner

Organiser of Lived Experience Leadership Collective

Ellie was in the community sector as a therapeutic practitioner, manager and educator for over 17 years and has been in private practice as a Cousnellor for the past three. Since 2016 Ellie has increasingly been raising her voice as an advocate and activist.

Ellie speaks from her learned and practice experience as well as her lived experience with struggle. Ellie knows the language and 'inside' of both worlds which is an enormous strength and unique asset.

For 2017 Ellie was awarded a scholarship / sponsored place on the Governor's Leadership Foundation Program and is committed to extending the learnings and impact beyond herself.
