Got a question for Dr Karl? Want all your Grade 7 students to be part of the Future BNE Challenge action?

Participate in the Future BNE Challenge direct from your school through the Future BNE Challenge live stream. Take your students on an adventure of water security exploration and innovation! Why not get your whole classroom or year level involved?!

Special guest, Dr Karl Kruszelnicki - scientist, author and radio host - will choose one question to answer on the topic of water submitted by our live stream-registered schools as part of the event welcome.

After you register, you will receive a digital Live Stream Resource Kit including lesson instructions, all curriculum links, pre-learning activities, model building and video pitch guidelines. For 2018 there is an updated format for live-streaming participation. Teachers will be able to choose from two lesson options, 45 minutes or 120 minutes.

On the event day, you will need to log in to the event page to watch the official welcome with the Lord Mayor Graham Quirk, year 8 student Will from Will’s Wildlife Kingdom and Dr Karl.

8:30-9am - Official welcome with Lord Mayor Graham Quirk , year 8 student Will from Will’s Wildlife Kingdom and Dr Karl.

9-11amSelect your timing option (45 min or 120 min) and deliver this futures thinking water security focused lesson to your classroom or to all year 7 students in your school. There will be a live-streaming feed from the event that your students can watch while you deliver the in-class lesson. The live-streaming feed will aim to increase excitement and motivation around the challenge and the topic of water security.

Options – If timing is restrictive, consider logging in to watch the official welcome, and then delivering one of the suggested pre-learning activities (shorter). You can then deliver the 45 minute or 120 minute lesson on a subsequent day.
