About this event

LIVE FOSTER CARE WEBINAR INFORMATION SESSION WITH Q&A

Share Your World. Become a Foster Carer.

Across Melbourne's metro area, we urgently need people who are willing and able to offer stable, nurturing homes for children, teenagers or siblings who are unable to live safely with their birth family.

We welcome carers who are partnered or single, working or retired, with or without children, from all cultures, ethnicities and faiths, from any sexuality and gender identity/expression. To become a Foster Carer, your ability to care for and nurture a child is what matters.

Some experience with children who have complex needs due to trauma or disability is desirable, but not essential. We provide full training, 24/7 support and financial assistance to help cover the cost of providing care.

If you're interested in sharing your home, heart and time with a child or young person in need, please join our free live webinar to find out exactly what's involved in becoming a Foster Carer and whether it's the right fit for you.

We will cover the different types of care, the application and assessment process, the roles and responsibilities of being a Foster Carer and the support you will receive from Life Without Barriers. Our experienced team will talk you through the process and answer any specific questions you have - no matter how big or small!
