About this event

FOSTER CARE LIVE WEBINAR INTERACTIVE INFO SESSION WITH Q&A

Could you be a Foster Carer?

Across South Australia, we urgently need people who are willing and able to offer long-term, stable homes, short-term emergency care or weekend respite care for children, teenagers or siblings who are unable to live with their birth family.

We welcome carers who are single or partnered, working or retired, with or without children, from any cultural background, sexuality or religion. To become a Foster Carer, your ability to care for and nurture a child is what really matters.

Some experience with children who have complex needs due to trauma or disability is desirable, but not essential. We provide full training, 24/7 support and financial assistance to help cover the cost of providing care.

If you're interested in sharing your home, heart and time with a child or young person in need, please join our free live webinar to find out exactly what's involved in becoming a Foster Carer and whether it's the right fit for you.

We will cover the different types of care, the application and assessment process, the roles and responsibilities of being a Foster Carer and the support you will receive from Life Without Barriers. Our experienced team will be on-line to talk you through the process and answer any specific questions you have - no matter how big or small!
