Join us for the first Teach Queensland Live Chat, Adventure awaits: Opportunities in rural and remote schools.

About this event

We're hosting a virtual re-run of our popular, Adventure awaits: Opportunities in rural and remote schools seminar from the 2021 Teach Rural Career Fair. Tune in from wherever you are to hear our school leader panel talk about their experiences teaching and living in rural and remote Queensland communities.

There will be opportunities for you to ask questions of our school leaders and they will also offer their tips for refining your resume, selecting the right school and settling into a new community. Registrations are essential.

Who should join this Live Chat?

This online event is open to all preservice teachers and current teachers.

How to join the session:

Step 1: Register for the Live Chat.

Step 2: We'll email you instructions for downloading the web conferencing platform, Blackboard Collaborate.

Step 3: The day before the scheduled Live Chat we’ll email you the link to access the Live Chat.

Step 4: Join in the conversation on the scheduled date. Come prepared with questions!

Technical requirements:

To participate in the Live Chat you will need:

  • access to a PC or laptop that has a speaker.

  • a strong internet connection, to access the Live Chat, and

  • a quiet location.

Places are limited so register early to secure your spot! If you are not familiar using Blackboard Collaborate platforms, we suggest you to test the platform prior the session.
