Use your inventiveness and creativity to address real needs and thoughtfully design technologies for the future.


Explore technical inventions of the past, optimise present-day technology and design sustainable solutions for the future. Appreciate the relevance of technology education for children’s understanding of the world and encourage their creativity and innovative spirit.

This STEM learning opportunity will help you:

  • learn how early education can foster children’s technical competence

  • embrace ethical decision-making as an important part of technology education

  • engage in technical learning through design, production, investigation and analysis

  • recognise the importance of communication, evaluation and assessment for technical learning

  • benefit from the exchange with like-minded educators and reflect on your current practice

  • feel confident in unlocking the wonders of STEM.

You will also receive comprehensive materials with lots of STEM ideas and information about inquiry-based practices.

Good to know: This workshop provides educators and teachers with a variety of tools and educational concepts to meet a range of requirements of the NQF and the EYLF.

Little Scientists workshops are endorsed to provide NESA Registered Professional Development for teachers accredited at Proficient Teacher level. Each workshop counts as five hours and 30 minutes of PD.

Date: Monday, 28 October 2019

Time: 9:15am for a 9:30am start. Workshop finishes at 4:30pm

Location: Collective Purpose, the G&B Room. Suite 501, 80 William Street, Woolloomooloo NSW 2011

Public transport: The closest train station is St James, Museum, Town Hall or Kings Cross and 7-10 mins walk from the venue.

Parking: Metered underground parking is available within the vicinity of the venue. Limited street parking also available

Further information: Wear clothing suitable for hands-on activities and experiments.

Cost: $115 per person. Please BYO lunch.

Who? This workshop is suitable for all educators and teachers and prior STEM knowledge is not required.
