Discover the world of chemical reactions by experimenting with different substances and learn about the exciting properties of carbon dioxide.

This STEM learning opportunity will help you:

  • experiment with carbon dioxide and other materials

  • discover the chemistry in everyday life

  • find ways to promote children’s language development

  • understand how STEM exploration and language development are connected

  • implement our inquiry-based educational approach

  • benefit from the exchange with other educators and teachers

  • feel confident in unlocking the wonders of STEM

  • take home information and inspiration in the Chemical reactions booklet and cards you receive.

Good to know: This workshop provides educators and teachers with a variety of tools and educational concepts to meet a range of requirements of the NQF and the EYLF.

Date: Thursday, 9 May 2019

Time: 8:45am for a 9:00am start. Workshop finishes at 4.00pm

Location:Catholic Education Office, Rooms 7 & 8, 116 George St, Thebarton, SA 5031

Public transport: Take multiple bus routes towards South Rd. The closest tram stop is Thebarton.

Parking: Visitor car parking is available in the Queen of Angels Church car park – entry via South Road.

Further information: Wear clothing suitable for hands-on activities and experiments.

Cost: $115. Ticket cost includes morning and afternoon tea. Please BYO lunch.

Who? This workshop is suitable for all educators and teachers and prior STEM knowledge is not required.
