About this event
Welcome to the Collingwood Children’s Farm 2022 Autumn Holiday Program!
This school holiday experience is offered only to established school holiday program providers, (not for individual participants).
Your group will be divided in two and will rotate between the following two one-hour activities, guided by our Farm Education team:
Farm Tour:
Participants will observe and interact with some of our animals, use their senses, learn farm vocabulary and hear about how we care for our animals to keep them healthy and happy. Some animals you may meet on the tour include sheep, goats, chickens and pigs.
Gardening Workshop:
It’s autumn, the Market Garden is brimming with veggies and the apples in the orchard are ready to harvest. In this workshop, participants will explore and discover our food-growing spaces, make connections to the food they eat and how it's grown. They will then get hands-on work with potting up their own seedling to take home to care for.

Important Information:
- Please arrive at the Farm at 10am for a strict 10.30 start. This allows time for a toilet and snack break before the first activity. Late arrival will result in a shortening of activities or students missing out on certain activities.
- BYO morning tea and lunch: You MUST bring a packed morning tea and lunch - we have a jammed-packed day in store for you and there just isn't time to order food.
- Come dressed for rain, hail or shine: The Farm is an outdoor venue; you MUST come prepared for any weather, including waterproof clothing, a hat, closed toe shoes and SunSmart clothing.
- Wear sensible clothes: It's a very good idea to wear comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting dirty. Bringing a change of clothes is a great idea.
Collingwood Children’s Farm is a non-profit community organisation.
Your excursion fee keeps our Education Program financially sustainable and helps us care for our animals, conserve our heritage farmland, and fund inclusive programs to support those experiencing adversity.
Thank you for your support!
