Lisa Hughes - Occupational Therapy Helping Children
Improving Concentration & Behaviour for your ADHD Child
Lisa Hughes (Bachelor of Applied Science in Occupational Therapy) is the Director & Senior Clinician at Occupational Therapy Helping Children. With over 25 years experience in Paediatrics, she has worked in both Australia & the United States in community health and private practice. Lisa is certified to administer both The Southern Californian Sensory Integration Test (SCSIT) and Sensory Integration Praxis Test (SIPT) both developed by Jean Ayres. She has presented many professional papers and is particularly focused on developing Intervention Strategies and support for children with Autism, Sensory Processing Disorder and ADHD.
Lisa is passionate about being able to provide the best possible care for her clients and their families and works with the entire family where possible. Coming from an Occupational Therapy perspective Lisa believes in looking at her clients as a whole and addressing their role in the home, school and at play.
Contribution: $5 at the door
Registration: 6.45pm for 7pm start
When & Where
Northern Beaches ADHD Support Group
A parent-run, voluntary support group for the parents/carers of children or teenagers with ADHD. We meet monthly at Pittwater RSL, Mona Vale in Sydney's Northern Beaches. Speakers specialising in ADHD are organised and there is a chance to network with other parents and share ideas/resources. Professionals working with children or teenagers with ADHD also welcome.
