A typical 2 hour session includes a break to share some of McWilliam’s finest with refreshments, and a chance to chat about art and what’s happening locally, nationally or internationally. Some say it’s like yoga for artists, with vino.
Term 4 launches on WEDNESDAY 21 OCTOBER with a 2 hour session especially, but not exclusively, for BEGINNERS. Anthea will go over some tips and the processes of Life Drawing. The live model will maintain many poses giving participants an opportunity to experiment with new techniques and ways of seeing, to measure, to comment and question, to step away from their drawings and to track progress.
Anthea da Silva, winner of the Inaugural Darling Portrait Prize 2020, has a passion for portraits and figurative art. She facilitates energising life drawing sessions informed by her studies in anatomy and whole brain learning techniques, and has taught drawing & painting at tertiary level over many years.
Max number on site is 20. Please arrive early to setup for a prompt start at 6pm.
