Do you want to push the boundaries of knowledge as part of your career in medicine or health? And take what you learn at the bedside to change and improve health and care?
Join us for the sixth annual Life as a Clinician-Scientist event, to learn about how you can do just that from some of Australia's leading clinician scientists and health researchers.
This in-person event is an invaluable opportunity to interact and network with our speakers, panel members and each other. The event will also be streamed online if you are not able to attend in person.
Our speakers and panellists come from a diverse range of specialties and research interests, spanning the entire spectrum from the lab bench, clinical trials, and wider health policy.

Please email events@aahms.org to request a refund. Full refunds are available when requested 7 days prior to the event or at any time if unable to attend due to COVID-19.

By registering to attend this event in person you acknowledge that:
- You do not have any symptoms associated with COVID-19 (e.g. fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, sneezing/runny nose or loss of sense of smell or taste);
- You do not have COVID-19 nor are you awaiting the results of being tested for COVID-19;
- You have not been in contact with any known or suspected cases of COVID-19 in the past 14 days;
- You have not returned from a declared COVID-19 hotspot in the last 14 days; and
- You have not returned, or been in contact with anyone else who has returned from overseas in the past 14 days.
If your any of the above circumstances should change ahead of the event, you MUST NOT attend.
If you are ill on the day of the event you should not attend but should join via the streaming link which you will be sent via email an hour before the event commences.
If you suddenly become ill at the event, please notify one of the event organisers who will assist you.
Please note that should the in-person event need to be cancelled at the last minute due to sudden changes in COVID-19 restrictions, the event will still proceed through the online streaming option. You will be notified via an email and provided with the streaming link to ensure that you can still attend.
Important reminder: Only attendees who purchase an in person ticket will be permitted to attend in person. Those attendees with a streaming ticket will not be allowed to enter the venue due to strict COVID-19 restrictions.
