“At the end of cancer treatment everything is back to normal. Right?” Research indicates that for the majority of people this is the time when the impact of the diagnosis and the treatment are experienced, and a significant process of adaptation takes place. Life returns to an uncharted “new normal”. This talk will briefly explore some of the common themes of survivorship.
Andreea Ardeleanu has worked for many years as a Senior Social Worker with the Cancer Counselling Service. Andreea has an interest in survivorship issues and currently co-facilitates the Life After Cancer Treatment group which is held regularly throughout the year.
