Library Lovers: Information Session on Diabetes (Midland)

Please note that this program is suitable for 18+, and is a presentation without hands-on activities. Photographs and videos may be taken of the event.

Come along and meet one of the Diabetes WA Educators to learn about Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes.

A group information session will include the interactive model of “Feltman”, consisting of felt shapes outlining the human body and organ systems relating to diabetes.

This simplifies and demonstrates what happens in the body of someone living with diabetes using stick on felt pieces.

This presentation also covers how diabetes is managed and how Type 2 potentially can be prevented, as well as risk factors and complications.

In accordance with hygiene requirements, social distancing will be maintained throughout this program and hand sanitising stations and cleaning products will be available for use.
