LGBTQI Sensitive Practice

ConnectGround is pleased to announce a 4-hour professional development session to ConnectGround interns and students and graduates of Gestalt Therapy Australia.

This workshop provides Gestalt practitioners and students with a Queer 101, to incorporate LGBTQI and Gender affirmative, inclusive and sensitive approaches to your practice.

We will explore: a brief historical ground of the LGBTQI movement and resistance; the current health situation for LGBTQI identified people; affirming language, concepts and pronouns; critiquing how our heteronormative biases may be impacting our practices and interventions by bringing the unconscious in to awareness in both therapeutic work and ones wider life/field and; experiment with your own queerness and gender-beingness to support integration.

Cost: $150 (exc GST) / free of charge for all current ConnectGround interns.
