There will be a tour around her garden where you will see the principles of permaculture in action. She grows a variety of vegetable and fruit trees which are pollinated by her bees. Her house produces more energy than she needs and Marilyn has recently purchased an electric car.
Marilyn will talk about her garden practice and the Sustainable Living course she is undertaking at the University of Tasmania. We will have morning tea before heading across the road to visit the Kimberly Park State School Food Forest for a tour of the abundant garden by Lyn.
Please bring along:
- things to share: excess produce, seeds, seedlings, plant material
- your own morning tea
- a hat
- a small folding chair
- a mug and plate
We will be encouraging physical distancing at the event:
- keep 1.5 metres away from others wherever possible
- practise good hygiene
- please stay at home if you have any cold or flu symptoms
Children are welcome, but you must sign them in when you arrive, so we have a record of them attending.
