Level 1 Straumann Restorative Training Program - Brisbane

This is a 3 piece module program. It is expected that participants are enrolled in all 3 modules.

Dr Michael Lewis graduated with a Doctor of Clinical Dentistry in Prosthodontics at the
University of Sydney in 2010. He has received extensive training in aesthetic and implant
dentistry, crown and bridge, denture prosthetics and orofacial pain management. He is the
proud recipient of the John H Wilson prize for proficiency in Prosthodontics and the Campbell
Harry Graham prize in Prosthetic Dentistry. His postgraduate thesis was in prosthetic
restoration of single-tooth implants, and has published and lectured on this topic both
domestically and internationally. Michael’s practice is in the heart of Brisbane city with Dr
William Bruce, and enjoys undergraduate lecturing at The University of Queensland and
Griffith Universities, as well as postgraduate teaching for The University of Sydney.
Dr Justin Boulton completed a Bachelor of Dental Science at The University of Queensland,
School of Dentistry in 1986. He practiced in Brisbane initially and then for 4 years in London.
During this time he commenced a Masters of Dental Science degree in Prosthodontics at The
University of Queensland, School of Dentistry in 1989 and completed this in 1992. He was
admitted to the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons by examination in 1993. Dr
Justin Boulton worked at The University of Queensland, School of Dentistry in a part-time and
later full-time capacity on the teaching staff from 1988 to 1993. In 1993 he was appointed the
Overseas Visiting Lecturer in Conservative Dental Surgery at Guy’s Hospital at the University
of London. He worked at Guy’s Hospital for one year full-time and 3 years following this as
a part-time demonstrator. He commenced Prosthodontic practice in Brisbane in 1997. Dr
Boulton is presently teaching part-time at The University of Queensland, School of Dentistry.
His first implant case was in 1993.
