About this Event

This forum is an opportunity to learn more about better mental health and anxiety disorders, and meet representatives from mental health organisations in the Bega Valley.

The keynote will be given by Prof. Doug Boer, former Professor of Clinical Psychology and Head of Department at the University of Canberra.

Prof. Boer will speak about identifying and addressing different kinds of anxiety disorders, including phobias, panic, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), social anxiety and others.

We will also hear from:

  • A local who has experienced an anxiety disorder.
  • A carer of someone with an anxiety disorder.
  • NSW Health - Bega, sharing insights into mental health and bushfire recovery.
  • FLING, speaking about their experiences creating a show with young people about connectedness.
  • Other organisations working in mental health and wellbeing in the Bega Valley.

Join WayAhead - Mental Health Association NSW and organisations across the Bega Valley to talk about anxiety, connect with services and work together on the road to recovery. Other organisations in attendance include One Door, Flourish and NSW Health.

All ticket holders are welcome to welcome to attend the whole forum, or just part of it.
