The Legal Profession Act 2007 empowers the Legal Services Commission to initiate and prosecute disciplinary proceedings against lawyers and law practice employees. Each year, the Commission prosecutes serious breaches of professional obligations through Queensland courts and tribunals. This webinar will examine the 2016 decisions, and discuss the ethical issues raised in those cases, and implications for legal practitioners.
Presenter: James Farrell OAM is the Director of Community Legal Centres Queensland. James is a member of the Queensland Legal Assistance Forum, a former lecturer with the School of Law at Deakin University, a member of the QLS Access to Justice Committee, and a 2014 Churchill Fellow.
The event is delivered as a webinar so participants will be able to access the training via their computers or by telephoning in for the presentation
