About this event
'Warm, witty and brimming with big-hearted country characters, renovations and romance. A fabulous, feel-good rural read!' - Maya Linnell about The Wattleseed Inn
From the bestselling author of The Farm at Peppertree Crossing, author Léonie Kelsall is back with her second rural romance novel, The Wattle Seed Inn , set in the beautiful but challenging landscape of the Murray River.
Léonie has also written a number of titles under the name Laney Kaye including Malicious Desire, Hawaiian Hurricane and Hawaiian Taboo.
Léonie will be talking and answering questions about her books, her writing process and what it takes to become a published author.
About the author
Léonie grew up in rural South Australia - initially on the beautiful Fleurieu Peninsula in a tiny town with a school enrolment of only eleven students, and later on a farm near the stunning Murray River. Her upbringing - and lack of a television! - encouraged a love of both the countryside and reading. She now divides her time between her professional counselling practice and home in the lush Adelaide Hills, and the stark, arid beauty of the family farm in the Murraylands, where many of her stories are set. Léonie’s first rural fiction was published in 2020.
