You're invited to a fun night of wine tasting to raise funds for the Ride for Rights Challenge, helping deliver essential services to survivors of violence and building safer and brighter futures for women and girls in Vietnam.
Did you know women in Vietnam experience higher rates of violence than much of the world? Around 58 per cent of married or previously married women have experienced domestic violence at some point in their lives. With your help things can change:
• $95 can deliver a community education program to change men’s and boys’ attitudes towards violence and abuse.
• $142 can provide 10 police officers with training on how to respond to domestic violence
• $600 can deliver business training for four women, providing them with financial security and pathways out of violence and abuse
• $873 can support a safe house that protects women from domestic violence
Ben Hughes from the Australian Wine and Beer School (AWBS) will host a fun night of tasting some delicious Australian wines and matching them with fab fromage. There'll be some useful wine education without the boring lecture stuff and lots of time to chat and say 'cheers'.
AWBS was founded by Ben Hughes – Head of Liquids. Ben has nearly twenty five years of Australian wine industry experience, well over thirty years drinking experience and well over forty years entertaining experience. AWBS have always questioned the way people talk about wine. Why complicate it so much? Their mission is to move wine and beer education into a fun, down to earth experience.
Wine and cheese and fun and doing good. A great night out. Looking forward to seeing you there!
